The 12 rating is only found on videos and DVDs. no one younger than 12 may rent or by a DVD which is rated 12 and may be asked for ID. The 12A and 12 rated films are very similar and exactly the same rules are meant to be obeyed. The theme which is generally in these films are mature but their treatment must be suitable for young teenagers.
The language can sometimes involves swearing (e.g. f***) but must be very infrequent. Nudity is also allowed but it must be brief and discreet. Sex can be suggested.
