We have decided to are going to be hooked and wont be able to stop watching. base our film idea on a typical horror film, we think that by doing this the audience

A horror films target audience is generally aimed at the age groups 15-25 because an older audience may be too scared and if they have families it may make them concerned and feel venerable and they may think their family is going to be at risk. The reason it is not for a younger audience is because they would be to anxious and may not be able to handle the terror. It is mostly aimed at men as they are more likely to be able to interact with the characters on screen. Women can interact with those on screen to but they would tend to react differently but some women like the thrill of horror films.

The women are most likely to go with someone else such has a boyfriend so they don't feel as scared, his is more likely to be either very close but not married couples or first date couples.

From the research I found from the Pearl and Dean website is that 53% women and 47% men went to see to see the horror film 'Insidious' suggesting that the results came out pretty much the same. This shows that both genders like horror films this can be targeted to people in relationships because they will need each others comfort and support during the film.
