Certificate Research:
The 18 certificate is given by the British Board of film classification to state that in its opinion it is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 years. This is supported through games, videos and films and can not be purchased by anyone under the age of 18 because it could be very violent or scary and not be suitable for that age group. Typical reasons why it is restricted from people under the age of 18 is because it could show scenes of hard drug, supernatural horror, explicit sec, sexual violence and violence such as murder which could be very graphic.
The reason i have not chosen to put my film in this category is because i don't think it would appeal to many people and the audience wouldn't be big enough.
